PROPOSITION OF SCOPE OF SPRINGS HYDROGEOECOLOGICAL MONITORING IN KRAKÓW-CZĘSTOCHOWA UPLAND REGION

Abstract
The paper presents the study of 13 spring niches, draining mainly the Upper Jurassic aquifer in the Kraków-Częstochowa Upland, performed during 2008–2011, using geological, hydrogeological and biotic methods. Possibility of biotic indices application is shown and proposition of the scope of hydrogeoecological monitoring of spring niche zones is presented. Such monitoring should include the geomorphologic, hydrogeological and biological indices (moss, vascular plants, diatoms and invertebrate fauna), according to Directive 2000/60/WE.
