Abstract
Disasters are inevitable conditions and causes loss of life and property. Most of the lives which are lost in the event of disaster remain unidentified as because of extensive soft tissue destruction it is impossible to identify deceased by visual identification. Dental surgeon plays a vital role in individual identification in the event of disaster. There is lack of proper information regarding role and importance of forensic odontology in individual identification. This article provides review on latest methods and techniques used for individual identification.
