Protection of passenger’s rights in transport service in the Republic of Kazakhstan

Abstract
Questions of protection of the passengers' rights – consumers of services in railway and air transportation have been considered. Practical materials of the Main transport prosecutor's office of the Republic of Kazakhstan on application of the legislation directed on protection of the rights and legitimate interests of passengers have been analyzed. The authors have made a conclusion about the insufficiency of the measures taken to implement the acts of prosecution supervision and the decisions of the board on the part of railway and air transport enterprises. The control exercised by authorized state bodies is ineffective. In order to increase the effectiveness of control over the observance of consumer rights by transport entities, it is proposed to create an Independent Agency consisting of expert experts on each type of transport
