Journal Title: IMPACT : International Journal of Research in Humanities, Arts and Literature ( IMPACT : IJRHAL ) - Year 2018, Vol 6, Issue 4
Abstract
Teenage is a period of significant change, during which children undergo the physical changes associated with puberty and face new challenges as they transition to higher secondary school/college where they encounter increased peer, academic, and corporate management pressures. In this context, the main aim of this article is to study the st psychological health analysis among teenager intermediate students. Thus the sample of 480 intermediate 1 year and nd intermediate 2 -year students of government and private junior colleges of both male and female students considered from Srikakulam, Vizianagaram and Visakhapatnam districts. In conclusion, the study has provided evidence that individual, home, classroom, sex, fear of failure, inferiority complex and anxiety related psychological health problems are found more in teenage intermediate students of private management colleges and residential. This may be due to the pressure of corporate management, teaching faculty and parents’ pressure. Academic and competitive conditions of corporate colleges have a strong influence on psychological health among teenage intermediate students. These factors have an increased negative impact on children’s health compared to others because of their stress-less and pressure-free environment. Ultimately, these findings can be used as guidelines for the prevention of psychological health problems in teenage intermediate students. In addition, the results could justify establishing official investigators to review the college and classroom conditions, and collaborations between the teenagers’ education and health organizations about taking steps for amending academic requirements.
