PSYCHOTHERAPEUTIC EFFECT OF PRAYER BEFORE THE ICON THROUGH THE LENS OF THEOLOGICAL AND LITERARY TEXTS IN CULTURAL HISTORICAL AND CHRISTIAN SPACE

Abstract
Relevance of a perspective. Living in the XXI century, we are witnesses of how our contemporaries started over again to address to the sources, to honor traditions. Interest in ideological national heritage, in great Ukrainian culture and history, in religious philosophy, spiritual tradition grows. Christianity — not simply the theory, outlook, not only the moral doctrine, and new life which covers all spheres of human life: intellectual, moral and spiritual. The object of research: A phenomenon and psychotherapeutic effect of a prayer before an icon. The subject of research:. Psychotherapeutic effect of a prayer before an icon through a prism of theological and literary texts. This research is sanctified to the psychotherapy effect of prayer before an icon and mediated perception of icon, i.e. to perception through the prism of theological and artistic literature of new time in christian space. Such concepts as functions of icon and christian prayer are educed and certain. To that end, texts of theological and artistic works of home authors were investiga-tional by us. In these texts a man is the symbol of «living icon» according to christian conception. Main destiny of icon is certain to be a mediator, the family by a neurohu-mor, between a man and Higher Spirituality. Perception of icon this «speculation in paints» helping a man in lining up a dialogue between by a soba and by God as Higher Absolute Spiritual and Moral Value. This research stipulated a main conclusion, that Social perception of icon is an indicator of spiritual potential of man.
