Abstract
In the article it is proved, that food behavior of a person lies within the framework, which includes normal food patterns, episodic food disorders and, finally, pathological food behavior. It is marked, that in modern conceptual classifications of psychical and behavioral disorders a nervous anorexia and nervous bulimia are attributed to violations of highly emotional and obsessive-compulsive spectrum or examined as the special variant of psychosomatic pathology. Some authors include overeating and starvation to the group of intermediate addictions; other consider that a nervous anorexia and bulimia are different abnormal psychology phenomena from addictions. Reason of nervous anorexia, as a rule, are the dysmorphophobic experiencing, related to dissatisfaction by own appearance, including overweight. Modern researchers examine violation of food behavior as desadaptive method of decision conflicts: people with food behavior violations use a meal as mean of symbolic communication with the sense of inadequacy in the face of demanding life.
