PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT AS A POLYCODE TEXT: TRANSLATION CHALLENGES AND SOLUTIONS

Abstract
The article deals with the study of peculiarities in translating the public service announcement from English into Ukrainian with considering the polycode character of such texts and their pragmatic aim. The analysis of public service announcements proves the coherent integrity of verbal and nonverbal semantic codes. Also, basic translation strategies were chosen as relevant for such kinds of texts.
