PUPILS INTEREST INTHE SUBJECT OF MUSIC PROMOTING THE USE OF COMPUTER APPLICATIONS AND LEARNING ENVIRONMENT HTTP://WWW.ICTWAYS.LT 

Abstract

The program of Information Society Development in Lithuania includes goals and objectives, one of them is to gradually install information and communication technology ( ICT) into the teaching / learning process of all subjects. Although teachers apply ICT in musical education , students value the process of musical education as unequal to other subjects. The authors state that one of the major reasons for students to be unmotivated to acquire new musical knowledge and practical skills is inefficient usage of ICT in musical education (learning). Uneffectiveness of ICT application in musical education (learning) can be seen after the analysis of teaching methods and techniques, new forms of presentation of educational material, the conventional computer programs, musical and special computer software, computer networking, information and communication technical measures used in musical education (learning). The authors offer music educators to create their own digital learning tools suitable for musical education (learning). The article also presents examples of appropriate digital teaching / learning tools created by the Lithuanian teachers in the process of musical education. The subject of the article is – use of ICT in teaching music students in secondary school. The aim – to investigate the use of ICT in teaching music in secondaryschool. Goals:To review computer programs and learning environment http://www.ictways.lt. To investigatethe use of ICT experience in music education in secondary school pupils, who graduated Lithuania secondary school from 2010 to 2013. Research methods: analysis of scientific literature, quantitative Vilnius College students and survey statistical analysis. Conclusions 1. Computerprograms providegreat opportunities formusic education inthe process ofdevelopment. 2. Secondary school music education process for students is as important as the music of practical experience in the acquisition, with a strong focus onthe needsof students, music, writing, and knowledge of the historyof music. Recommendations ICT in music education in secondary school rarely used. The article the author offers music educators more extensive use of conventional and special musical computer program of music education in secondary school and to develop their own digital learning tools and share best practices in learning environments http://www.ictways.lt. Hypothesis – ICT in music education is used rarely was partly confirmed.
