Journal Title: Journal of Bone and Joint Diseases - Year 2018, Vol 0, Issue 0

Abstract

Piriformis syndrome, due to its unclear diagnostic criteria has still remained a diagnostic and therapeutic enigma. Piriformis syndrome is a peripheral nerveentrapment neuropathy syndrome. Here sciatic nerve is compressed as it passes through the greater sciatic foramen below the piriformis muscle. e symptoms of piriformis syndrome can be easily mistaken for the radiculopathy as the nerve entrapment causes pain which radiates down below the knee and can go up to the foot. Here we present thirteen cases of piriformis syndrome along with their diagnostic and therapeutic protocol followed.
