QARS for Self Reconfiguration Mechanism in Wireless Mesh Networks
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Research in Computer Engineering & Technology(IJARCET) - Year 2013, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
Wireless mesh networks (WMNs) are being developed actively and deployed widely for a variety of applications. Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) is a communication network made up of radio nodes organized in a mesh topology. Mesh Network has the advantages of fast implementation, easy maintenance and low direct investment while comparing with the existing networks. Multi-hop wireless mesh networks (WMNs) experience frequent link failures due to channel interference, dynamic obstacles, and bandwidth demands. These failures cause severe performance degradation in WMN. This paper proposes a Quick Autonomous Reconfiguration System (QARS) that enables a multi-radio WMN to autonomously recover from local link failures. QARS first searches for feasible local configuration changes available around a faulty area, and identifies reconfiguration plans that require the minimum number of changes for the healthy network settings. QARS using enhanced bully algorithm for leader node selection helps in times of link failures in the network.

Signal Strength Estimation and Comparison with Measured Signal Strength for Mobile Cellular Communication
In wireless communication systems, path loss models are used to find out the path loss between transmitter and receiver. In this paper, Okumura, Cost-231, Hata, ECC 33 and SUI propagation models are discussed. Path...
A STUDY OF DIFFERENT ATTACKS IN MANET AND DISCUSSION ABOUT SOLUTIONS OF BLACK HOLE ATTACK ON AODV PROTOCOL
MANET are gaining popularity now days due to flexibility and communication without the infrastructure or centralized access point. The dynamic changing nature of network topology makes any node in MANET to leave and join...
Analysis of Control of Inverted Pendulum using Adaptive Neuro Fuzzy system
Here modeling and simulation study of basically two control strategies of an inverted pendulum system are presented. The inverted pendulum represents a challenging control problem, which continually moves towar...
Design & implementation of FPGA based digital filters
Implementing hardware design in Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGAs) is a formidable task. There is more than one way to implement the dsp design for digital FIR filter. Based on the design specification, caref...
Efficient Road Traffic Policing With Coordinators and Routers Using Radio Frequency
Effective reduction of the road traffic in the real time phase is very essential. The present infrastructure available for the road traffic is not adequate, due to steady increase in the number of vehicles per day....
