QARS for Self Reconfiguration Mechanism in Wireless Mesh Networks
Journal Title: International Journal of Advanced Research in Computer Engineering & Technology(IJARCET) - Year 2013, Vol 2, Issue 2
Abstract
Wireless mesh networks (WMNs) are being developed actively and deployed widely for a variety of applications. Wireless Mesh Network (WMN) is a communication network made up of radio nodes organized in a mesh topology. Mesh Network has the advantages of fast implementation, easy maintenance and low direct investment while comparing with the existing networks. Multi-hop wireless mesh networks (WMNs) experience frequent link failures due to channel interference, dynamic obstacles, and bandwidth demands. These failures cause severe performance degradation in WMN. This paper proposes a Quick Autonomous Reconfiguration System (QARS) that enables a multi-radio WMN to autonomously recover from local link failures. QARS first searches for feasible local configuration changes available around a faulty area, and identifies reconfiguration plans that require the minimum number of changes for the healthy network settings. QARS using enhanced bully algorithm for leader node selection helps in times of link failures in the network.

A Survey on Fault Tolerance in Work flow Management and Scheduling
Fault Tolerance is a configuration that prevent a computer or network device from failing in the event of unexpected problem or error such as hardware failure, link failure, unauthorized access, variations in the...
COMPRESSION AND DE-NOISING OF AN IMAGE USING WAVELET TRANSFORM
Image is an artefact that depicts visual perceptions. The value of data in the images gets depreciated while transferring from one medium to another medium. This occurs mainly through the sensors. In the technical...
A COMPARATIVE BEAMFORMING ANALYSIS OF LMS & NLMS ALGORITHMS FOR SMART ANTENNA
Beamforming is a technique of directional signal transmission and recitation. Now a days, because of an increasing demand on wireless communication (like RADAR, satellite communication, mobile communication, broadcast...
A Review on Concurrency Fault Detection Techniques
The UML is the most common language that is used for system modeling. But, this language has been designed as a general purpose modeling language that might need modeling constructs for the specific real time embed...
Normalization of Intuitionistic Fuzzy Rough Relational Databases
In this paper, a method of normalization of a relational schema with intuitionistic fuzzy rough attributes in first normal form is presented. The method is implemented by an example which shows that how the proce...
