QUADRATIC APPROXIMATION OF GENERALIZED TRIBONACCI SEQUENCES
Journal Title: Discussiones Mathematicae - General Algebra and Applications - Year 2018, Vol 38, Issue 2
Abstract
In this paper, we give quadratic approximation of generalized Tribonacci sequence {Vn}n≥0 defined by Vn = rVn−1 + sVn−2 + tVn−3 (n ≥ 3) and use this result to give the matrix form of the n-th power of a companion matrix of {Vn}n≥0. Then we re-prove the cubic identity or Cassini-type formula for {Vn}n≥0 and the Binet’s formula of the generalized Tribonacci quaternions. Keywords: Binet’s formula, companion matrix, generalized Tribonacci sequence, Narayana number, Padovan number, quadratic approximation, Tribonacci number. 2010 Mathematics Subject Classification: Primary: 11B39; Secondary: 15A24, 40C05.
Filters of lattices with respect to a congruence
Some properties of filters on a lattice L are studied with respect to a congruence on L. The notion of a θ-filter of L is introduced and these filters are then characterized in terms of classes of θ. For distributive L,...
SYMMETRIC BI-DERIVATIONS IN ALMOST DISTRIBUTIVE LATTICES
In this paper, we introduce the concept of symmetric bi-derivation in an Almost Distributive Lattice (ADL) and derive some important properties of symmetric bi-derivations in ADLs.
BOOLEAN FILTERS IN PSEUDO-COMPLEMENTED ALMOST DISTRIBUTIVE LATTICES
In this paper we have introduced the concept of Boolean filters in a pseudo-complemented Almost Distributive Lattice (pseudo-complemented ADL) and studied their properties. Finally, a Boolean filter is characterized in t...
RELATION BETWEEN (FUZZY) GODEL IDEALS AND ¨ (FUZZY) BOOLEAN IDEALS IN BL-ALGEBRAS
In this paper, we study relationships between among (fuzzy) Boolean ideals, (fuzzy) G¨odel ideals, (fuzzy) implicative filters and (fuzzy) Boolean filters in BL-algebras. In [9], there is an example which shows that a G¨...
Generalized derivations in prime rings and Banach algebras
Let R be a prime ring with extended centroid C, F a generalized derivation of R and n ≥ 1, m ≥ 1 fixed integers. In this paper we study the situations: 1. (F(x ◦ y))m = (x ◦ y) n for all x, y ∈ I, where I is a nonzero id...
