QUATERNARY SEDIMENTS OF THE SOUTHERN PART OF THE BLACK SEA SHELF OF BULGARIA
Journal Title: Geologia i poleznye iskopaemye mirovogo okeana - Year 2018, Vol 14, Issue 4
Abstract
Drilling, sampling by geological tubes and seismic profiling in the Southern part of the Black sea shelf of Bulgaria on the Eastern Stara-Planina Rise and in the Burgas Depression provided the data for study of lithologic and stratigraphic features of the Quaternary sediments. Correlation of these strata with analogical layers in the Middle and Northern parts of shelf of Bulgaria was performed.

TO THE PROBLEM OF NON-BIOGENIC NATURE OF PETROLEUM
Theory of abyssal non-biotic petroleum origin recognizes that crude oil and natural gas are the primordial substances and considers their migration and accumulation as a part of the natural process of the Earth's outgass...
Development of the deepest karst systems and submarine discharge of the Arabika massif (Western Caucasus): the role of the late miocene regression of Eastern Paratethys
The large mountainous massif Arabika in the Western Caucasus borders directly with the sea coast. Karstified limestones that comprise the massif submerge below sea level toward the south-west. Numerous deep caves have be...
BIOSTRATIGRAPHIC ANALYSIS OF SILICEOUS AND CARBONATE MICROFOSSILS (BACILLARIOPHYTA, COCCOLITHOPHORALES, OSTRACODA) OF BOTTOM SEDIMENTS OF THE KERCH-TAMAN SECTOR OF THE BLACK SEA
For the first time siliceous (diatoms, silicoflagellates) and carbonate (ostracods, coccolithophorides) microfossils from the upper Pleistocene and Holocene deposits of the northeastern part of the Ukrainian Black Sea se...
BASALTS OF VARIOUS GENESIS IN THE ZONE OF THE INTERCONNECTION OF THE WESTERN BLACK SEA CAVITY, THE MOUNTAIN CRIMEA AND THE SCYTHIAN PLATE
Basalts and andesibasalts, which are the most informative from a geodynamic point of view, have been discovered and studied within three magmatic areas in the northern part of the Black Sea on the continental slope and n...
MINERALOGICAL COMPOSITION AND TYPOMORPHISM AS ORIGIN INDICATORS OF FERROMANGANESE ORE FORMATIONS OF THE INDIAN OCEAN
Major part of publications, which are dedicated to ferromanganese formations, consider ferromanganese nodules as well. Though, the spectrum of ocean ferromanganese ore genesis is much wider. It includes nodules, buried n...
