Queuing Models and Subspace Identification in Logistics
Journal Title: Acta Technica Jaurinensis - Year 2015, Vol 8, Issue 1
Abstract
In modern logistics it might be helpful to describe the behavior of a complex logistical process as well as to determine the strength of relations between certain parameters of the system. In this paper a subspace identification approach has been applied to estimate the relation between the features of the system based on measured input-output pairs. In order to validate the suitability of the approach for logistical processes a queuing based model has been proposed and used to generate simulation data. Our analysis as well as the obtained results clearly reflect that subspace identification approaches can advantageously be applied to model the relation between certain parameters of the system, nevertheless to characterize the strength of this relation, as well.

Multi-Partite Structure of Demand-Supply Network Element
In our recent article we investigate the utilization possibilities of usual time related, demand and supply data sets of an organization. We also create some others from those time related data sets, thanks to what we ha...
Defining the Temperature Change of the Brake Disc
In the article the thermal analysis of the brake disc and separator disc of a high performance power machine will be presented. As example an agricultural vehicle with weight of 30000 kg and maximum travel speed of 40 km...
Review of Finite Element Vehicle Interior Acoustic Simulations Including Porous Materials
Recent trends in vehicle engineering require manufacturers to develop products with highly refined noise, vibration and harshness levels. The use of trim elements, which can be described as Poroelastic materials (PEM), a...
Overview of the Finite Element Method
By using scalar and vector potentials, Maxwell's equations can be transformed intopartial differential equations. Generally, the partial differential equations can be solved by numerical methods. One of these numerical m...
A New Metaheuristic Optimization Algorithm, the Weighted Attraction Method
The paper presents a novel, particle behavior--based metaheuristic global optimization method. The idea behind the algorithm is based on attraction between particles, and in some aspects it is similar to the particle swa...
