QURAN'S CONCEPT OF HAWAA

Journal Title: Journal of the Human and Social Science Researches - Year 2013, Vol 2, Issue 1

Abstract

Hawaa signifies the creational desirous/makeshift appetites of the self. In eighteen verses of Quran, this concept is mentioned as 'hawaa / ahwaa'. It is possible to claim that Hawaa is the sum of all oppositions against human life regulations that are based on religion. Hawaa and its followers are disparaged in Quran. Verses on this aforementioned subject mention about how Jews, Christians, polytheists, pagans, disbelievers in different groups of the population about the impropriety of bringing about comprehensions of religion that are based on human ideology. If human follows his desirous tendencies, wishes and ideas appropriate to his tendencies counteract science, conscience, belief and right. In this case, the human soul becomes the slave of his passion and as Quran puts it, human 'deitifies Hawaa'. According to Quran earthly life is possible in an order based on either revelations or hawaa, but no other. For this reason Quran warns his Highness the Prophet and the worshippers and even all mankind to fight and stand against Hawaa. The true happiness and salvation of human require a life that is based on Quran centered revelation culture.
