Radiocarbon dating: a scientific overview
Journal Title: Journal of Drug Discovery and Therapeutics - Year 2014, Vol 2, Issue 9
Abstract
The review provides scientific and basics view on radiocarbon dating. However, his presentation, calibration and interpretation of radiocarbon ages are misleading in some cases, and important wide applications for age determining process. Radiocarbon dating is a radiometric dating method that uses the naturally occurring radioisotope carbon-14 (14C) to estimate the age of carbon-bearing materials up to about 58,000 to 62,000 years.
