Abstract
Authors present a rare case of the papillary thyroid carcinoma in thyroglossal duct cyst in a 40 year-old woman. Preoperative assessment (palpation and ultrasonography) showed symptoms of typical thyroglossal duct cyst and the fi nal diagnosis was established after histopathological examination of the surgical specimen. Epidemiology, diagnostic methods and treatment of this rare disease were also discussed in the study.
