Raspberry Pi for Biometrics and Security Applications
Journal Title: International Journal of engineering Research and Applications - Year 2017, Vol 7, Issue 8
Abstract
This document summarizes the work and the results obtained for the master’s final investigation (TFM) in which there appears the study of a variety of algorithms that are frequently used for face detection and / or facial recognition checking its performance on a computer device with limited resources and small size as is the Raspberry Pi, all with the intention of determining the results of each one, under a series of pre-established operating circumstances and the performance that each of these algorithms presents when they are executed, effectiveness, consumption, and other relevant factors to finally determine which of these is the most efficient, in front of IT solutions, which cover the needs that they present with the rise of modern society, on surveillance and security systems indoor such as homes, offices, research and development centers, just refering some. For this project were implemented the different algorithms in Phyton 3,5 language, specially for the advantages that this one offers on having been executed in this type of board. And the abundant number of aviable libraries, run on the operating system Raspbian Jessie version (4.4 with Pixel). Index Terms: facial recognition, algorithms, biometry, raspberry, security.

Housing Management Of Cattle And Buffalo
In India, a great diversity exists in the design of dairy animal shelters. Traditional animal shelters have grown out of needs, resources and ingenuity of farmers. Building design and construction materials largely affec...
Review Study of soil behavior mix with Reinforcement Fiber
Soil reinforcement has more and more become a viable choice for raising the performance of earth structure underneath unstable and dynamic loading. Within the past few decades, haphazardly distributed fiberreinforced soi...
Implications of Robotic Walkway Cleaning for Hoof Disorders in Dairy Cattle
Infectious hoof disorders are a serious challenge for dairy production since they cause pain and discomfort in cows and can compromise the competitiveness of dairy farming. Robot scrapers are capable of frequently removi...
Achieving Load Balancing through Program Slicing
Implementing load balance in parallel program is very important. It may reduce running time and improve performance of program. This paper proposes a slicing algorithm in which we did not use any slicing criteria but we...
Effects of Machining Parameters on Cutting Forces during Turning of Hardened AISI 52100 Steel using PCBN Tooling
The motivation of this investigate is to study the effects of machining parameters on the cutting performance of hard turned parts with PCBN (polycrystalline cubic boron nitride) tools , in wholly dry cutting. The data o...
