REASONS AND CONSEQUENCES OF UNEMPLOYMENT IN UKRAINE

Abstract
The article analyzes the current state of unemployment in Ukraine. The main positive and negative aspects are presented of this socio-economic phenomenon and the reasons are determined for its occurrence. Based on the statistical data, the author conducts analysis of the dynamics the number of unemployed and of the unemployment rate, as well as analyzed the unemployment rate of the population (according to the ILO methodology) by gender, age groups and place of residence. On the basis of analysis, the optimal directions of solving the unemployment problem in Ukraine are suggested.
