RECONSTRUCTION OF NATURAL ATLANTIC HOLOCENE STAGE CONDITIONS BASED ON THE PALEOSOIL RESEARCH OF TRYPILLYA SETTLEMENT

Abstract

The aim of the research - to reconstruct the natural life conditions of trypillia population time based on paleosol studies of the settlement near the village Likareve in Kirovograd region. The methodological basis of the study is the use geoarchaeological approach aimed at the reconstruction of natural conditions at different times of human life activity based on the synthesis of the results of archaeological and paleogeographical data. The scientific novelty of the research is in obtaining new paleosol data on environmental conditions during the Atlantic phase of the Holocene. It has been found that at the time of trypillia population settlements on the studied territory, the ordinary black soils were widely spread, indicating the steppe, more arid climatic conditions compared with modern (modern zonal soils in the area are the typical black). Correspondingly, the area of research, which is now located in the forest-steppe zone, was at the Atlantic phase of the Holocene in the steppe zone, the boundary of which has shifted to the north.
