RECREATIONAL COMPONENTS IN TERRITORIAL PLANNING OF THE UKRAINIAN BLACK SEA REGION

Abstract

Purpose of the article is to examine the recreational components in territorial planning of the Ukrainian Black Sea region. Methodology. The basis of the article are statistical and cartographic materials for the territory of the Ukrainian Black Sea region, theoretical-methodological and methodical achievements, as contained in scientific papers [3, 5, 10-12] and the legal framework of Ukraine [2, 6, 7-9] . In the analysis the materials used general scientific methods of social geographic research. Results. In the Ukrainian Black Sea region are the following trends in the formation of recreational areas: a) development of urban recreational areas at the resort settlements or entire resort agglomerations (resorts and resort areas, coastal recreational areas, etc.), b) development of recreation areas on the territory between the settlement sites by creating recreational parks based on numerous existing national parks and landscape parks, c) development of transitional recreational areas (resting place, rural areas, housing estates). In recreational zoning of the Ukrainian Black Sea region we considered as for a long time functioning resort and recreational areas of the prevailing territorial recreation systems and projected General planning scheme as new wellness area and recreational areas that recently being started based on objects of rural and ecotourism. The area of our study relates to the Black Sea recreation region (zone), within we have identified 3 subzones – Coastal, South Steppe transitional and North peripheral, each was given a brief description of its units and was given the criteria by which they allocated.
