Rectal Analgesic Suppository – In the Management of Post-Episiotomy Pain

Abstract
Post-episiotomy pain is a most common cause of post-natal mother’s discomfort. Post-episiotomy pain interferes in their daily activity such as walking, sitting, voiding and defecating, during post-natal period which in turn interferes in the bonding between the mother and the baby. Diclofenac rectal suppository is an effective pain management therapy among the several pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies. There are many research studies and research evidence which show that rectal analgesic suppository is effective in the management of post-episiotomy pain.
