Recursive linguistic structures are in French prose and poetry

Abstract
The article deals with the recursive linguistic structure based on French prose and poetry. N. Chomsky believed that recursion as a linguistic universal is a key property of any natural language. Having a lot of definitions of this phenomenon, we consider that recursion is a phenomenon that contains itself and is determined by itself. Through recursion, the structure of a sentence can be infinitelybranched; new compositionally unlimited and complexexpressions can be made. The study of this phenomenon on the basis of the French language showed that recursive linguistic structures are widespread in prose and poetry. It can be argued that recursion can be of lower, middle and higher levels. Among the various prose genres, tales often correlate with a higher level of recursion. Recursive linguistic structures are often found in lyrics and poems.
