Abstract
REZUMAT Starea civilă reprezintă, alături de nume și domiciliu, instituţia care individualizează omul. În timp ce numele și domi- ciliul persoanei definesc poziția acestuia în societate, starea civilă individualizează persoana în societate și în familie. Se impune astfel ca starea care se pretinde să corespundă realității. Această rezultă din actele de stare civilă eliberate în baza re- gistrului de stare civilă. Străinii pot înregistra în Republica Moldova acte de stare civilă conform regulii locus regit actum.
