REGIONAL INNOVATION POLICY AIMS, PRINCIPLES AND PRIORITIES

Abstract
The article focuses on the nature and definition of the main objectives of regional innovation policy in the context of improving the competitiveness of the regional economy. The basic reason for the need of regionalization of innovation policy is substantiated. The basic principles of formation and priorities of regional innovation policy realization are defined. The necessity of forming of regional innovative politics is certain as a basic constituent of innovative development of territory is grounded. The criteria of influencing the choice of priorities of innovation activity in the region were outlined. The conditions that contribute to the effective implementation of regional innovation policies and provide a positive economic result and the competitiveness of production in the region were identified and canalized. It was noted that the effectiveness of innovation policy should be taken into consideration in determining its main objectives a number of factors that determine the competitiveness of the regional economy.
