REGIONAL OPERATIONAL PROGRAMMES AS A LEVERAGE THE USE OF RENEWABLE ENERGY SOURCES

Abstract

The study presents results of research concerning determination of the structure and spatial differentiation of the European Regional Development Fund absortion within the framework of Regional Operational Programme of the Lubelskie Voivodship 2007-2013, Piority 6. Environment and clean energy, Action 6.2. Environmentally friendly energy. Data sources was obtained at the Department of the Regional and Operational Programme, Lubelskie Voivodship. 265.5 milion has been allocated for the projects that use renewable energy sources, which represents 5.9% of the allocation for all financial resources of ROP. More than 93% of this amount was allocated for investments in solar energy, mainly solar collectors (92.6%). Such a significant contribution of projects in the field of solar energy exploitation confirms the correctness of the thesis arise from the Renewable Energy Sources Development Programme of Lubelskie Region, that significant on a country scale resources allow to reach by the region, the national leader position in using solar energy to produce heat and electricity.<br/><br/>
