Regional threats and defense cooperation: studie about South America

Abstract
The objective of this article is to understand the role of threats to regional defense cooperation, using as an empirical case the South American region, especially the CDS-UNASUR. Threats are elements capable of uniting and motivating the States to develop cooperative processes in defense, allowing the joint construction of security.
