RELATIONS OF JUMPING SUCCESSFULNESS AND STRENGTH OF UPPER LEG MUSCLES EVALUATED BY ISOKINETIC METHOD APPLIED ON TOP GYMNASTS

Abstract
Re se arch in the fi eld of ba lan ce of ago nist and an ta go nist mu scle gro ups is very im por tant in top sport. As soon as cer tain mis ba lan ce of an ta go nist mu scle gro ups is fo und, it is fully ju sti fi a ble to advi se spor tsmen and ot her pro fes si o nals in vol ved in the ir tra i ning pro cess to apply ex tra work in or der to stren gthen the mu scle gro ups which we re we a ker than the ir an ta go nists. This is highly im por tant for esta blis hing sta bi lity of ar ticu la ti ons whe re a mo ve ment is ge ne ra ted by me ans of par ti cu lar mu scu la tu re. In ca se of a good ba lan ce, this al so me ans bet ter pro tec tion of arti cu la tion-bo ne system, as well as mu scles stretched in the hig hest-am pli tu de mo ve ments, which might be bro ken due to the con trac tion of an ta go nist mu scle gro ups. Good strength ba lan ce of an ta go nist mu scle gro ups is al so im por tant in vi ew of the fact that the abo ve mu scles re pre sent ac ti ve fi xers of an ac tual jo int. Ho we ver, in top sport whe re he alth pre ven tion aspect is not the pre domi nant one, it hap pens that the only cri te rion for strength de ve lop ment in cer tain mu scle gro ups is the one on which com pe ti tion suc cessful ness de pends di rectly and to a gre a test ex tent, whe re as “less im por tant mu scle gro ups” are of ten ne glec ted. The Pa per analyses the abo ve pro blems on the sam ple of ma le sport gymnasts and the ir suc cessful ness in jum ping.
