Abstract

Potato crop is the fourth most important globally, in Colombia Tecia solanivora (Povolný) and Phythopthora infestans (Mont.) de Bary are limiting factors that affect its production. The relationship between Guatemalan moth and Late Blight was evaluated in the field. A potato cultivar Diacol Capiro crop was established in Mosquera, Cundinamarca (Colombia), and data on the capture of adults of T. solanivora (baited traps) and the severity of damage P. infestans were recorded weekly, together with the phenology of the plant and precipitation data (mm), R.H. (%), temperature (°C), wind speed (km.h-1) and solar brightness (h). A significant positive correlation (p<0.05) of Pearson was found between T. solanivora and crop phenology, maximum temperature and R.H., for P. infestans with precipitation and R.H., and of crop phenology with the maximum temperature. Negative correlations with significance (p<0.05) between the severity of P. infestans with wind, solar brightness, maximum temperature and crop phenology, and with precipitation. A relationship was found between T. solanivora, crop phenology and maximum temperature, between P. infestans and precipitation, R.H. and minimum temperature and between wind speed and solar brightness. There is a relationship between T. solanivora with flowering and berry formation, the maximum temperature with the formation of secondary stems and the minimum temperature with senescence. Tecia and Phythopthora as biotic factors exert an effect on the crop and interact with abiotic factors such as climate.
