Research and its importance in the field of higher education

Abstract
Research is a transversal axis in education in general. The investigative process is the Genesis of knowledge. Higher education, on the other hand, depends on the research skills of faculty and students. The purpose of this study is to describe the importance of research in the higher field. The methodology used was descriptive research, documentary type. It must be concluded that research is of great importance in the process of training professionals, that is, in higher education. The quality and constantupdating depends on the investigative skills that they develop during their training process. Research is the means by which solutions to problems are found, questions are answered and also allows objective information to be obtained in order to create and offer strategies; that invite to improve the conditions of acquiring new knowledge to promote the learning process
