RESEARCH REGARDING THE DISTRIBUTION OF DEFECTS IN RELATION TO THE QUALITY OF THE SHAPE OF THE STEM IN TURKEY OAK TREES (QUERCUS CERRIS) FROM BOBOŞTEA FOREST

Abstract
The results of the research performed on the Turkey oak trees are presented in this paper, trees that are situated in sample surfaces in Boboştea forest (Bihor County) but also in other locations in Romania (Tăşnad M.U. and Dumbrava-Beliu M.U.), which allowed drawing conclusions regarding the distribution of the identified defects in relation to the quality of the shape of the stem in Turkey oak trees in the mentioned areas. Of the total number of trees analyzed-742, a total of 268 (36.1%) have two shafts visible defects examined.
