Resita in Permanent Evolution of Industrial Research and Development
Journal Title: Analele Universitatii "Eftimie Murgu" Resita. Fascicula de Inginerie - Year 2016, Vol 23, Issue 1
Abstract
The paper presents aspects related to the evolution of industry at Reşiţa, where in 1771 they put the first high furnace into exploitation. Along time these furnaces have undergone continuous improvements and modernisations, and in 1868 the Reşiţa Works started producing steel and two Bessemer converters were mounted. Due to the continual operation and enhancement, in conditions of „permanent fire”, Reşiţa acquired the name of Romania’s „FIRE CITADEL”. In parallel machine-building industry also developed at Reşiţa. The increase of the necessary quality products imposed the development of scientific research and of the specialised schools and colleges.

Study Regarding the Identification of an Internal Combustion Engine
The paper presents the results of the scientific investigations performed on an Otto engine. One conducted surveys on the analytic and experimental modelling of the internal combustion engine, considered as automated sys...
Model Equations of Shape Memory Effect - Nitinol
Even it has been already confirmed that SMA’s have high potential for robotic actuators, actuators included in space robotics, underwater robotics, robotics for logistics, safety, as well as “green robotics” (robotics fo...
High Performance Shunt Active Power Filter: Design Consideration and Experimental Evaluation
The paper presents an active power filter with high performance, achieved by the authors. To obtain these performances some contributions were brought, both in the power part and in the control part, those are highlighte...
A Comparative study about the Influence of Vibration on Elbow Joint Mobility
The results shown in [1] have referred to a particular appreciation of the elbow joint mobility of a subject to the action vibrations produced by a fitness device. Experiments - performed on four subjects - were held at...
Exploitation Solution of the Wind Potential in the Danube Gorge
This paper proposes a solution to exploit the wind potential of the Danube cluster by storing it in the Iron Gates I reservoir lake, through pumping the water downstream of the hydroelectric power plant. Storing energy b...
