Resource Constrained Project Scheduling Problems - A Review Article
Journal Title: UNKNOWN - Year 2015, Vol 4, Issue 3
Abstract
The science of construction scheduling has gained importance in the past few decades and has become the focal point of construction management practitioners. Scheduling involves listing of a project's milestones, activities, and deliverables with intended start and finish dates. These are estimated in terms of resource allocation, budget and duration. Resource limits (manpower, machinery, materials and money) are practical constraints that exist in most projects and it limits a constructor’s ability to execute and deliver a project as originally planned. The resource-constrained single project scheduling problem (RCPSP) as well as resource-constrained multi-project scheduling problem (RCMPSP) has become a well-known standard problem in project scheduling and has attracted numerous researchers from multiple areas. This article reviews the various approaches adopted like Ant Colony Optimization (ACO), Constraint Programming (CP) and Backward-Forward Hybrid Genetic algorithm (BFHGA) and focuses on providing researchers the future scope in this area to look into.
Crowdedness Spot Acquisition by Using Mobility Based Clustering
Detecting hot spots of moving vehicles in an urban area is absolutely required to many smart city applications. Crowdedness spot is a crowded area with a number of irregular objects. The practical investigation on hot sp...
A Power Effective UWB Sensor Tag with Time Domain Sensor Interface and a Vivaldi Antenna as a Transceiver
A wirelessly powered UWB sensor tag is proposed for sensing application and a Vivaldi antenna is used for effective transmission and reception of sensed information. Instead of traditional ADC a PPM-UWB is used to conver...
Enriching Process of Image Encryption and Compression Using Hierarchical Decomposition
"Abstract— Most of the times while any message is transferring across the network for security reasons they are normally encrypted directly to make user visibly unreadable or it will be encrypted (hidden) in an image. An...
A Classifier System for Unwanted Message Filtering From O.S.N User Space
As the use of On-line Social Networks (OSNs) rapidly increases, today there is need to provide users with the facility of controlling the messages posted on their private wall to avoid some unwanted content to be display...
A Novel Approach in Clustering via Rough Set
Clustering is a widely used technique in data mining application for discovering patterns in large dataset. K-Means and Fuzzy C-Means clustering algorithm are the traditional approach for clustering. Above mentioned algo...
