Resource Potential of Economic Growth as a Factor of Competitiveness for the National Economy

Abstract
The article is aimed at both studying and evaluating the resource potential of the Ukrainian economy and its growth prospects. Problems of development of the national economy were considered in the context of ensuring its competitiveness. A complex of indicators for the economic development of the economy of Ukraine is presented, including: GDP, industrial production index, direct investments in the country, rate of innovation development. Some necessary measures to improve the competitiveness of the economy of Ukraine has been suggested. Prospects for further research in this area are definition of the priorities for both the economic development and stimulation of the most promising sectors of national production, which have a high competitive potential to enter the world market, as well as stabilizing the monetary and financial policies of the banking system, improving the system of regulation of competition as well as stimulation for the intensification of innovative processes in the economy to establish a post-industrial practice of development for the national economy.
