Restructuring of advanced instruction and training programs in order to increase the number of flight hours for military pilots. Part II
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2011, Vol 3, Issue 4
Abstract
Converting the DC school jet aircraft into SC advanced training aircraft - and use them for the combat training of military pilots from the operational units, has become a necessity due to the budget cuts for Air Force, with direct implications on reducing the number of hours of flight assigned to operating personnel for preparing and training. The purpose of adopting such a program is to reduce the number of flight hours allocated annually for preparing and training in advanced stages of instruction, for every pilot, by more intensive use of this type of aircraft, which has the advantage of lower flight hour costs as compared to a supersonic combat plane.

The Sound Attenuation Coefficient Optimization in Case of a Three Parameter Impedance Model for a Rectangular 3D Straight Lined Duct of Finite Dimensions
A method for the minimization of the ratio of the sound pressure level at the exit to that at the entrance is presented for a rectangular 3D straight lined duct carrying a uniform gas flow. The duct dimensions, the incid...
Compensation for errors in determining the angle in the flight-navigation complex of the aircraft in case of failure of the satellite navigation system
Currently, navigation equipment for long-range aircraft, where the flight is characterized by a long duration and the absence of frequent and abrupt maneuvers, continues to be actively improved. Therefore, the main purpo...
Impact Simulation With an Aircraft Wing Using SPH Bird Model
The work presents an approach to simulate a model bird-strike on an aircraft wing using Lagrange mesh free method in Autodyn. The presented SPH model has been used to simulate a threedimensional impact of the bird with t...
Electromagnetic, flow and thermal study of a miniature planar spiral transformer with planar, spiral windings
This paper presents mathematical modeling and numerical simulation results for a miniature, planar, spiral transformer (MPST) fabricated in micro-electromechanical MEMS technology. When the MPST is magnetic nanofluid cor...
Similitude Criteria for Aeroelastic Models
This article presents principles of similarity modeling, dimensional analysis, and the Buckingham (Π) theorem. A number of examples from different fields are given. Based on these principles, the similar phenomena concep...
