Restructuring of advanced instruction and training programs in order to increase the number of flight hours for military pilots. Part II
Journal Title: INCAS BULLETIN - Year 2011, Vol 3, Issue 4
Abstract
Converting the DC school jet aircraft into SC advanced training aircraft - and use them for the combat training of military pilots from the operational units, has become a necessity due to the budget cuts for Air Force, with direct implications on reducing the number of hours of flight assigned to operating personnel for preparing and training. The purpose of adopting such a program is to reduce the number of flight hours allocated annually for preparing and training in advanced stages of instruction, for every pilot, by more intensive use of this type of aircraft, which has the advantage of lower flight hour costs as compared to a supersonic combat plane.

Nanostructured zirconia layers as thermal barrier coatings
The coatings obtained by thermal spray are used both as antioxidant and connection materials (e.g. MCrAlY type alloys) as well as thermal barrier coatings (e.g. partially stabilized zirconia oxide with yttria oxide). Thi...
Evolutionary, Iterative Optimum-Optimorum Theory
The performing of the aerodynamical, global optimized (GO) shape of flying configurations (FCs) leads to an enlarged variational problem with free boundaries. The optimum-optimorum theory was developed by the author in o...
An Extension of Newton Gravity Formula Considering the Universe Expansion Effects
The Universe expansion and gravity are perhaps the main factors that determine the Universe evolution at global scale. The expansion of the Universe seen as a sphere whose frontier is moving at the speed of light in vacu...
Selected aspects of the supply chain management in the aerospace industry
The paper in the introductory part underlines some factors concerning the aerospace supply chain management (SCM) issue. Authors inform on selected definitions in this topic, levels of supply chain and its maturity. The...
Similitude Criteria for Aeroelastic Models
This article presents principles of similarity modeling, dimensional analysis, and the Buckingham (Π) theorem. A number of examples from different fields are given. Based on these principles, the similar phenomena concep...
