Abstract
There are major historical milestones of the emergence and development of scientific and educational schools and infrastructure in the field of ecology and environmental protection in Lviv National Agrarian University. University Dublyany located in Lviv region. Field crops school — the future base LNAU, was founded in 1856. Already in 1878 it was reformed to the state Supreme (High) School field crops. In 1880 it was reformed to the university, which lasted until 1901. After it was founded Academy agriculture. In 1919 the Academy was created Tillage and Forestry Department of Lviv Polytechnic Institute. There are historical facts and points of persons who moved the progress of scientific knowledge and training in the field of agriculture, ecology and environmental protection. Zygmund Kahane (1846—1889) has made significant efforts to transfer field crops schools rank higher. He was directly involved in the development of the Museum of Zoology and animal nutrition and in creating a zoological laboratory. There are shown the contribution Mieczysław Kowalewski (1857—1919), Adam Maurizio (1862—1941), Jewstakhy Woloshchak (183—1918), Emil Godlewski (184—1930), Kazimir Michynsky, Zygmund Golonka (1888—1967), Seweryn Krzemieniewski (1871—1945), Dezydery Szymkiewicz (1885—1948), Stanisław Bac (1887 —1970), Szymon Wierdak (1883—1949), Kazimir Sukhecky, Bogdan Dobrzański (1909—1987), Nikolaj Wawilow, Andryj Lazarenko, Tetjana Kozynec, Mykhajlo Gonchar . Described new period in the development of special environmental studies and graduating founding chair of ecology and biology LNAU. Are shown in modern academic role Wolodymyr Snitynsky, its scientific schools and other scientists of the University to strengthen the scientific base and expanding educational opportunities so staff Ukraine's largest department of ecology and biology. Since 2009, the department renewed scientific school of agro- and dendroecology. Professor Petro Hnativ makes research of forest and agricultural landscapes undertaken Mykhajlo Gonchar, and then extended his direct disciple. Today scientists of the department of biology and ecology form the basis of the Specialized Scientific Council LNAU defense of a thesis for the specialty „Ecology“. The Department provides environmental education at three levels: bachelor, master, post-graduate courses. Scientists and teachers of the department sees the prospect of further expanding the range of ecological and environmentology disciplines the European level and the strengthening of basic research in cooperation with the EU.
