REVERSE ENGINEERING OF A STEAM TURBINE ROTOR BLADE FOR ITS ANALYSIS
Journal Title: International Journal of Engineering Sciences & Research Technology - Year 30, Vol 4, Issue 7
Abstract
Reverse engineering is the process of making a solid model of a component that has been manufactured already and is available. This paper outlines the process procedure in creating a solid model of a steam turbine rotor blade through reverse engineering process. The methodology used in this paper consists of data acquisition of the model using a 3D scanner in the form of point cloud data, pre processing the point cloud data using OPTOCAT software so as to get a polygon mesh of the model and later generating a 3D solid model by extracting the sketches and surfaces generated from the point cloud data using the Geomagic Design X software. The above methodology was used to make a 3D model of the turbine rotor blade. This 3D model was further used for various analysis.

This paper deals with the reduction of contact stresses of the spur gear and pinion used in headstock of a lathe machine by introducing stress relieving feature of different shapes i.e. circular hole, elliptical hole and...
Leakage Current Reduction Techniques for CMOS Circuits
Most of the portable systems, such as cellular communication devices, and laptop computers operate from a limited power supply. Devices like cell phones have long idle times and operate in standby mode when not in...
DEVELOPMENT OF A NOVEL STANDARD NOTION FOR THE IMAGE CONTRAST ENHANCEMENT PERFORMANCE MEASURE
Image enhancement methods are widely used for improving the feature and quality of the images. Image enhancement is to improve the visual appearance of an image or modify attributes of an image to make it more suitable...
Fine Grain Dynamically Reconfigurable Architecture for CMOS Sram
Cell stability and area are among the major concerns in SRAM cell designs. This paper compares the performance of three SRAM cell topologies which include the conventional 6T-cell,8T-cell and 10T-cell. The cmos d...
Railway Anti-Collision System using DSLR Sensor
Railway collision is a major problem so this work is concentrated to avoid major and small causes of train collision on same track. Proteus software helps to route mapping and direction for the railway. The primar...
