Abstract
Chronic kidney disease (CKD) refers to an irreversible deterioration in renal function which classically develops over a period of years. Initially, it is manifested only as a biochemical abnormality. Eventually, loss of the excretory, metabolic and endocrine functions of the kidney leads to the clinical symptoms and signs of renal failure, which are referred to as uremia. When death is likely without renal0020 replacement therapy, it is called end-stage renal disease/failure.[1] There is no possible direct explanation of CRF to any disease in Ayurveda. It is well said by Aacharya Charaka that, it’s not always possible to name the disease. What matters the most is the interpretation of the symptoms and treating them efficiently.[2]
