Review of system parameter specifications for microprocessor performance analysis of UAV swarm applications

Journal Title: Modern Innovations, Systems and Technologies - Year 2024, Vol 4, Issue 3

Abstract

Based on the general methodological principles of specification of system parameters, the article examines the system parameters of UAV flight controllers with the aim of forming a model of microprocessor performance of swarm application of UAVs in precision agriculture. It is noted that the analysis of the main UAV flight controllers used in precision agriculture will make it possible to form a pool of system parameter specifications for analyzing the microprocessor performance of their swarm applications. At the same time, it is important to correctly assess the influence of system parameters on the improvement of UAVs and possible prospects for the development of new generation flight controllers. The validity of the specifications of the system parameters of UAV controllers significantly affects the efficiency of the implementation of UAV transport and technological cycles in precision farming systems. The paper examines the new generation Pixhawk flight controller, as well as a family of high-performance microcontrollers based on the Cartex-M4 core. The main distinctive features of microcontrollers of this series are noted. It is concluded that microprocessor performance is also influenced by the characteristics of the functional peripherals that a given family of controllers has.
