Revision of the Phrator vittulatum species group (Coleoptera: Carabidae: Omophron)

Abstract

Review of Phrator vittulatum group was done thus increasing the number of the known species till four species – Phrator vittulatum Fairmaire, 1894, P. schoutedeni Deleve, 1924, P. alluaudi Dupuis, 1913 stat. nov. and Phrator barsevskisi n. sp. One species described as new: Phrator barsevskisi n. sp. The new species differs from other species of this group by smaller sizes, rounded shape of elytra and almost smooth elytral stria. P. alluaudi Dup. is recognized as a valid species. A key to species is provided. Redescription, habitus illustrations and distribution maps are provided for all species.
