Rheumatoid PurpuraDuring Pregnancy: About a Case and a Review of the Literature

Abstract

The Rheumatoid purpuraorHenoch-Schönleinpurpura(HSP)is a systemicvasculitis of unknownetiologyaffecting thesmall vessels.It is characterizedby the association ofcutaneous, articular and gastrointestinalsigns, which may occur in successive outbreaks.Kidney disease is sometimes associated with these signs. It happens rarely among adults and its discovery during pregnancy is an exceptional circumstance.The purpose of thisstudy is to reportourfirst case ofHSPand Pregnancy association, its maternal-fetal prognosis, with particular emphasison itsfavorable evolutioncontrasting with that of some cases reported in the literature.
