Abstract
The aim of this study is to evaluate the most influential doctrine of the interwar period: Pan- Eu- rope, and its author as the main ideologist as well as the Pan-European movement creator. The basic outcomes from the analysis are as follows: 1) Pan-Europe contributed to development of the federal model of Europe unification. Its conceptual value was confirmed by politicians' interest that resulted in project of founding a federal union presented by France in 1930. 2) The Pan-European movement was a significant school from which the federalists came. The final conclusion is that ideological and personal relationships between Pan-Europe and the European Union are of equal importance
