ROAD TRAFFIC MODELING: THE INTEREST OF WARM-UP DETECTION IN DYNAMIC SIMULATIONS
Journal Title: Engineering and Technology Journal - Year 2018, Vol 3, Issue 5
Abstract
The design, study and management of road traffic systems has become increasingly difficult and costly as existing configurations are multiple and complex. Our objective in this article is to present a state of the art on modeling techniques, namely macroscopic, microscopic and mesoscopic modeling. And we will see that in order to solve the space and time scale problems encountered in the aforementioned models, a new model named static hybrid has appeared. The latter aims to take advantage of classical models, adopting the model at the scale of the phenomenon studied. But the static hybrid approach cannot observe the phenomenon of congestion. To overcome these limitations, we have developed an approach to move from a macroscopic presentation to a microscopic presentation. The latter will create an empty section that will gradually be filled with vehicles. This phase called "initial transition" or "warm-up" marks an unstable state. The main objective is to eliminate the warming phase by dynamically transforming the macroscopic simulation into a microscopic simulation.

INVENTORY COST ANALYSIS WORK IN PROCESS (WIP) UNDER FOCUS OF LEAN ACCOUNTING, SIMULATION AND OPTIMIZATION SCENARIOS
In this research, we present a cost analysis of the materials that are in a queue to be processed, better known as work-in-process inventory (WIP, for its acronym in English). The inventory in process will be analyzed wit...
Grouper Fishery Management Options in the Waters of Mursala Island, Central Tapanuli District, Indonesia
Sustainable fisheries are becoming increasingly difficult to achieve due to the decreasing ability of the aquatic environment to support the availability of fish resources [8]. In order to overcome the problem of fishery...
Blend of Metal Oxides and Polyaniline on Platinum Electrodes for Dissolved Oxygen Sensors
In this study, we report the detection of dissolve oxygen (DO) by using a blend of Ruthenium oxide and polyaniline (PANI) coated on platinum electrodes. Optical properties of the PANI were characterized by using Ultravio...
