Journal Title: Спортивний вісник Придніпров'я - Year 2018, Vol 3, Issue 3
Abstract
In the national theory of sports, the tradition has somewhat simplified to describe the process of sports training, in which its main actors (trainer and athlete) are, regardless of the stage of preparation of the latter, in the relationship «subjectobject ». Thus, as a result of the false identification by the scientists of the athlete’s personality as an independent, always dependent on the actions of the trainer, the attention of the researchers was not attracted to the formation of an active and responsible subject of sports activities, from which, as the skill is acquired, it all depends to a greater extent on the achieved result. The answers of the experts involved to the closed questions became important. All 100% of the polled Honored Coaches of Ukraine agreed that besides the coach and the athlete, the competitor himself is directly responsible for the competitive result. All 100% have noticed, also, that from the stage of initial training to the stages of maximum realization of individual possibilities and preservation of the highest sporting skill the role and the ability of the athlete himself to influence the achievement of a high competitive result is constantly and linearly increasing. Perhaps the most important achievement of the research should be considered the first quantitative objectification of the phenomenon, which expresses the existing tendency to increase the role of the athlete as a subject, as his skill grows, in the resulting competing result. If at the stage of specialized basic training the contribution of the trainer and the athlete in the obtained competitor result is estimated respectively 75,6% and 24,4%, then at the stage of maintaining the highest sporting skill is already 47,8% and 52,2%. That is, the athlete’s role in the competitive result is 4,4% higher than the coach. The study has shown that we can not continue to consider the athlete as the sole object of influence in the management of the process of sports training. As the athlete moves to each subsequent stage of sporting training, his responsibility as a subject for the achieved competitive result is constantly increasing. This should be taken into account, firstly, in the training of sports trainers. And, secondly, used by trainers in the course of further improvement of the system of training of athletes.
