Abstract
In the article, based on the analysis of scientific views of scientists and the norms of the current legislation, the special significance of trade unions among other subjects of labor law is emphasized. It is emphasized that it is precisely trade unions that play an important role in shaping civil society in our country. It was established that it is precisely trade unions that allow the protection of a very large number of citizens – individuals who perform their labor function on a day-to-day basis for the benefit of themselves, enterprises and Ukraine as a whole, because the economic component is one of the most important in the process of conducting a high-quality social policy
