Role of R&D investment in creating competitive advantage of EU countries in international high

Abstract
The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of recent developments in the high-tech export performance of the EU Member States in the years 2007-2011. One of the main factors to achieve compet itive advantage in international high-tech trade is the development of research and development sector. EU Member States shoved very diverse trends in R&D spending in the year 2007-2011. However, there isn't a direct relationship between the level of development of the R & D sector and posit ion in the international trade of high-tech goods EU Countries. .
