ROLE OF THE FINE ART IN THE SCENIC DESIGN OF BALLET PRODUCTIONS

Abstract
This article presents a study of the effect of the fine art, particularly the effect of monumental painting in the ballet production scenic design. Visual design of ballet productions is a demanding and complicated process. It is a synthesis of the creative work of the composer, stage designer and the choreographer. In a frequent use today is the term “choreographic dramaturgy”, and the choreographic character of the work combines spatial (visual) and temporal (music) arts with the use of the most advanced (digital) technologies. Scenic design of the ballet shows by means of the monumental painting art goes back to the Renaissance epoch. But attainment of the greatest contrasts in this art of visual design took place in the 20th century. An example of this is the artistic legacy of the famous Ukrainian stage designers of that period and the artistic-stylistic peculiarities of their artistic paintings.
