ROLE OF ULTRASOUND IN IMPROVING THE MICROBIOLOGICAL QUALITY OF DRINKING WATER

Abstract

Water is the most essential element in this world to sustain life, and an adequate, safe and accessible water supply must be made available to all. Improving access to safe drinking-water can result in tangible benefits to health. Every effort should be made to achieve a drinking-water quality as safe as practicable. According to WHO, access to safe drinking-water is essential to health, and a basic human right, for health protection. Provision of good quality household drinking water is an important means of improving public health in rural as well as urban community. Microbial quality is one of the primary indicators for the safety of drinking water. It is very important to ensure microbial safety of drinking-water.
