Rolul băncilor în absorbţia fondurilor europene pentru menţinerea macrostabilităţii

Abstract
Unul din obiectivele Iniţiativei de la Viena consta în menținerea de către instituţiile de credit din ţările mai dezvoltate ale Uniunii Europene a unor niveluri de expunere financiară în țările care fac obiectul inițiativei (Europa emergent). Îndeplinirea acestor angajamente de expunere este, cu toate acestea, costisitoare în lipsa oportunităților de investiții în ţările gazdă. O mai bună absorbție a fondurilor UE de către autoritățile naționale, precum și implicarea mai activă a băncilor în selectarea, de prefinanțare și co-finanțarea proiectelor din fonduri structurale ar putea crea noi oportunități de afaceri pentru instituţiile de credit, pentru a facilita îndeplinirea angajamentelor lor de expunere și, astfel, să contribuie la revigora economică a ţărilor gazdă.
