ROMANIAN FLAG LAW AND ITS IMPACT ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT AND PORT LOGISTICS

Abstract

The main aim of the paper is to set up a lobbying approach in order to enforce the Romanian pavilion’s jurisdiction. Establishing a Romanian or international maritime represents numerous advantages for Romania, given the content of the article to be following assumptions of study. The Romanian state will receive significant amounts of the tonnage taxes. The study provides a socio-economic analysis within these aspects. Important jobs will be created for current and future navigators, also practice sites for cadets, developing partnerships with key suppliers of working force and human resources within the academic institutions. The paper presents an analysis of the content of this domain. The local jurisdiction of the Romanian flag will create also some advantages, developed within the actual research as important working hypotheses: • Free Trade Union of Seafarers will work with national unions, will have sailors on these ships and will act as supervisors. • It will be proposed a system of social and health insurances for Romanian, European and non- European seafarers on these ships. • Collective labor contracts concluded with organizations representing the interests of seafarers will follow these socio-professional interests. All these assumptions are developed within the content of this scientific approach.
