W artykułe autor przedstawia rozważania nad treścią pojęcia bezpieczeństwo, o jego systemowym pojmowaniu, jak i o dotychczasowych paradygmatach badania nad bezpieczeństwiem. Autor prezentuje paradygmat securitologiczny, który jest użyteczny dla oceny bezpieczeństwa jakichkolwiek referencyjnych objektów.
